Farm Overview
Bent Fork Farm is a diversified mixed vegetable and cut flower farm growing on about 3 acres in Bethlehem NH. We attend the Littleton and Lancaster Farmers Markets, offer a weekly veggie and flower CSA, and grow for a handful of awesome local restaurants and stores. We are a low-till farm and grow using organic practices (not certified). Our crop plan is designed to grow as much as possible on our small acreage; this means we are mostly human-powered and our field machinery is limited to our walking tractor. We operate with a small crew of 1-3 which will include Bridget (farm owner), Amanda (crew leader who’s in her 3rd season at the farm) and Ben (who works off farm runs is often helping out and runs the farmers market).

Job Summary
Farm crew members will play an essential role in all aspects of flower and vegetable production, including seeding, bed prep, transplanting, weeding, harvesting, washing, and packing. This job is very physical all around (must be able to lift 50lbs repeatedly etc), but we try to make the work we do as ergonomic as possible. Because we are mostly human-powered, it is essential that farm crew members are able to mantain a fast pace, especially as we get into the heart of harvest season.

Main Season Weekly Schedule

  • Tuesday: harvest and wash/pack for CSA, wholesale accounts and Gorham Farmers Market
  • Thursday: field work (seeding, weeding, transplanting, trellising, bed flipping etc) and Gorham Farmers Market (3-6pm)
  • Friday: harvest and wash/pack for weekend markets

Farm crew members must be able to commit to working with us through mid October. Starting ASAP!
